In-ground Projects

We work alongside local Conservation Authorities, Municipalities and landowners to carry out stream rehabilitation projects and stream bank tree planting projects. Our goal is to provide advice and assistance to landowners who wish to protect, preserve and restore habitat.

Envirothon is a team-based competition for high school students who love the out-of-doors. It is designed to allow students to field-test their environmental knowledge; while developing their teamwork, problem solving, leadership and communication skills. These students will be Ontario's future green leaders.

Soil and Water Stewardship

The Soil and Water Stewardship Program connects educational opportunities and project-based cost-share funding to attract farmers who don't usually participate in stewardship programming. It also inspires them to adopt stewardship behaviors; in other words, to recognize that short-term achievements can result in long-term stewardship outcomes. Through their actions in this program, participants become Stewardship Ambassadors.

Plover Lovers

Piping Plovers are an endangered species of shorebirds that returned to Sauble Beach on Lake Huron in 2007 after a 30-year absence. Plover Lovers are volunteers who, by serving as citizen scientists on the beach, help ensure the birds’ recovery in our area through outreach and education.
